The construction types can be both  SINGLE-BEARING (STANDARD) and  DOUBLE BEARING.

The double bearing is less required, more expensive and it involves the use of an additional component, the flexible coupling.

KEEP IN MIND 

• The alternator shaft is supported by two bearings making the machine more robust.  
• In the front part there is the alternator shaft that will be coupled to the engine through the flexible coupling.  
• It is always equipped with FLEXIBLE COUPLING that is placed between engine and alternator to further absorb the vibrations produced by the load.
