QUALITY AND LEAN APPROACH
LEAN SIX SIGMA
The introduction of the Lean Manufacturing process, has improved production efficiency and flexibility as well as increased each phase of quality control. The LEAN MANUFACTURING process has been implemented in the VISA production cycle with the scope of improving work phases and reducing delivery times while maintaining elevated quality levels. The assembly islands have been organized according to genset size, designed to increase efficiency in line with the continuous improvement process.
TARGET: TO REDUCE LEAD TIME AND IMPROVE PRODUCTION EFFICIENCY
• New Production Layout: assembly island:
• Ordered, practical and ergonomical workstation
• Improved component/materials logistical management
• Small components found within island for quicker access
• Assembly areas re-organised to suit “Just in Time” production needs
• Trained and empowered Operators
TESTING AREA – THE QUALITY HEART OF THE FACTORY
At the end of the manufacturing process, every single unit goes to our modern test room where it is subjected to a load test, according to ISO quality procedures:
• Each test lasts 45/60/120 minutes (according to product version)
• Mechanical checks;
• Simulation of alarms and protections installed in the genset
• Different steps test: 10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% and 110% of load;
• All gensets have their own test certificate, signed by our technicians
3 MODERN TEST ROOMS
TEST ROOM – GENERATING SETS SMALL SIZE
• 2 Soundproofed test rooms
• AREA: 110 sqm each one
• MAX LOAD up to 1000 kVA
TEST ROOM – GENERATING SETS BIG SIZE
1 Soundproofed test room
AREA: 200 sqm MAX LOAD up to 8000 kVA
Up to 4 POWER UNIT 40’ CONTAINERS can be simultaneously tested
Functional test of a 500 kVA soundproof generator set - Onis Visa. All Onis Visa gensets undergo a severe functional test of all components and a genset load test that simulates different powers. A scrupulous test that includes 30 checks before delivery to the customer
